Supersports originated from an idea of reinventing Central's and Robinson's sporting goods departments in the mid-90s. A growing population of sports enthusiasts, coupled with increasing awareness of health and physical fitness, created an opportunity for a category superstore. Central Retail Corporation was the first to understand and address this opportunity in Thailand, and Supersports' growing network (42 branches and counting) dominates this market segment.

Today, Supersports stores, many located in Central and Robinson Department Stores, offer some 20,000 different sports-related items, from apparel and shoes to equipment and accessories. Stores typically include test and play areas that are a unique draw for enthusiasts. Supersports outlets can also be found as stand-alone shops in major shopping malls. The company has recently launched the "Sport Fashion Concept" which focuses on fashion and beach branded goods.
