Gala - Dinner Concert
HRH Princess Soamsawali graciously presided over this prestigious Gala - Dinner Concert on the occasion of Central 60th anniversary, held at the Convention Hall of The Centara Grand at CentralWorld. The guest star of the evening was the Russian National Artist, "Tamara Gverdsiteli", backed up by
the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.
Mai Charoenpura started off with the "Central 60th Anniversary" theme song "Proh Mee Thur Jung Mee Chan" and other two songs from her album. As for Tamara, she interpreted 14 impressive songs including Habanera Opera Karmen, Mother's Eyes, Everlasting Love, Cherbourg Umbrellas, La Vie en Rose.
Wecoming the 1,000 guest upon their arrival were Vanchai Chirathivat, Suthichai Chirathivat and Khunying Suchittra Mongkolkiti. Not only did the VIP guests enjoy the vivacious concert but also there was a mini - exhibition, presenting a brief history of Central. Also participants were H.S.H. Prince Bhisatej Rajani, H.E. Mr. William Paterson - Australian Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yevgeny Vladimirovich Afanasiev - Russian Ambassador, Apirak Kosayothin - Bangkok Governor, Boonkiat Chokewattana, Dararat Mahadamrongkul, Khunying Chodchoy Sophonpanich, Atchara Tejapaibul, Charlotte Donavanik, and Rapeepan Luang-aramrat.
