CRC - Omni DC pride in ISO 45001 for the first Large DC in Thailand highlights Retail Leadership and sustainable safety policy

Bangkok 26 October 2021 – Central Retail Corporation Company Limited (CRC), has achieved next-level sustainability with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety certification for its CRC Omnichannel Distribution Center (CRC Omni DC). It is the first such certification for any large distribution center in Thailand and showcases Central Retail’s fully comprehensive safety management systems.

Dr. Piyapong Tanyasrisang, Store and Supply Chain Director, Central Retail Corporation Company Limited or CRC, commented, “CRC Omni DC is proud to be certified with ISO 45001 in occupational health and safety management. Central Retail has consistently prioritized safety, and this new standards certification underlines our leadership. From its inception, CRC Omni DC has been in strict compliance with safety standards. The certification process involves employees’ well-being, tools and equipment, and risk management. We have cut both direct and indirect employee accident risk by more than 95%, while reducing liabilities, insurance premiums and property damage. CRC Omni DC is the first large leading distribution center in Thailand to be certified.”

Omnichannel Distribution Center CRC is an innovative distribution hub in Asia covering over 90,000 sqm. which picks products for sale in retail stores and Omnichannel platforms under Central Retail. These include Central Department Stores and Robinson Department Stores alongside Supersports, B2S outlets and others. The integrated management system covers personnel management, and compliance with regulations based on International Labor Organization (ILO) Standards. The company also promotes safety and hygiene standards internally with dedicated activities. As a result of this, CRC Omni DC has previously won “Safety Awards 2021” for three consecutive years from the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare under the Ministry of Labour.
