Central Retail Vietnam Honoured by Vietnam Report as No. 1 in the Vietnam Top 10 Retail Reputation Award 2026

On 22 October 2026, at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Vietnam Report JSC, in collaboration with VietNamNet, held the announcement and award ceremony for the Vietnam Top 10 Retail Reputation Award 2026.

At the event, Central Retail Vietnam, operator of the GO!, Tops Market and mini go! food retail chains, was honoured by the organisers as No. 1 in the Vietnam Top 10 Retail Reputation Award 2026.

“We are extremely proud that Central Retail Vietnam has once again been recognised by Vietnam Report as No. 1 in the Vietnam Top 10 Retail Reputation Award 2026. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Central Retail Vietnam has retained its leading position in the ranking,” said Mr Olivier Langlet, Group CEO of Central Retail Vietnam.

According to the organisers, the Vietnam Top 10 Retail Reputation ranking has been part of Vietnam Report’s annual research programme since 2012, honouring leading enterprises that have a significant influence on the sustainable development of the economy. The ranking is based on three key criteria: (1) financial performance, as reflected in the most recent financial statements; (2) media reputation, assessed using the Media Coding method; and (3) surveys of research subjects and stakeholders.

In the first nine months of 2026, Vietnam’s economy recorded several notable developments. According to the National Statistics Office, GDP for the nine-month period is estimated to have grown by 9.01% year-on-year, with the third quarter alone growing by 9.95%. Total retail sales of goods and consumer services reached nearly VND 5,930 trillion, up 13.4% year-on-year, while the services sector grew by 8.69%. These results show that domestic production, business activities and consumption have continued to hold steady amid a global economy that still faces many difficulties and challenges.

Against this backdrop, the recovery in purchasing power and shifts in consumer behaviour have created further room for growth in the retail market. Alongside expanding their scale, retailers are increasingly focusing on customer experience, omnichannel strategies and adapting flexibly to new consumer demands.

Mr Olivier Langlet, Group CEO of Central Retail Vietnam, shared that in late August 2026, Central Retail opened GO! Dan Phuong Supermarket, and is currently actively recruiting staff in preparation for the opening of GO! Tuyen Quang Mall and Hypermarket later this year. Central Retail is also preparing for the groundbreaking of GO! Rach Gia Mall and the opening of additional mini go! supermarkets in Dong Nai and Dong Thap provinces.

“Maintaining our No. 1 position in the Vietnam Top 10 Retail Reputation ranking gives us greater confidence to expand our investment in Vietnam. Beyond expanding our retail network, we remain focused on digital transformation, diversifying our product offerings and enhancing the omnichannel shopping experience to sustain growth, while contributing further to Vietnam’s prosperity,” Mr Olivier emphasised.

Present in Vietnam since 2012, Central Retail, together with GO!, Tops Market and mini go! chains, has helped transform the landscape of Vietnam’s modern retail industry. Today, the company proudly welcomes an average of 500,000 customers daily across more than 300 stores and shopping centres in 26 provinces and cities nationwide, with a total retail area exceeding 1.3 million square metres, and provides employment for approximately 13,500 people in Vietnam.

Guided by its “Better for Vietnam” strategy, Central Retail Vietnam is steadily reinforcing its position as one of the leading retail groups, supporting the growth of domestic consumption and Vietnamese products.
