Central Department Store, under Central Retail, had Threeranandha Leelahawong, Head of Public Relation as the representative to receive 2 major awards at the "2023 Thailand's Most Admired Brand" Award Ceremony from Brand Age magazine. Through the awards, the company has earned its position as #1 most trusted department store among the consumers for 17th consecutive year while also taking home a special "Maker Leader Award" for outstanding brand. The ceremony was held at the Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel on March 30th, 2023.

Tops, food business under Central Retail, announces a major achievement on an international level, reaffirming its position as the #1 food retailer in Thailand which is constantly improving and excellence in all aspects, with a goal to be the ultimate Food Discovery & Destination under the concept of Every Day DISCOVERY to offer the best shopping experience every day. It has won numerous awards over the years, and recently received two prestigious awards from international events, Top CEO 2022 and Top Brand 2022 - Supermarket from the Influential Brands Award 2022
Tops, food business under Central Retail, recently received an award in sustainability from an Asia-Pacific event. “Convenience Retail Sustainability Award” is an honorable recognition given to retailers that operate their business with a sustainability focus, creating a tangible impact on people, society and the environment. The award reaffirms Tops’ social responsibility as an organization that is committed to driving its business in a way that improves the quality of life, bridge the gap in the society, while also promoting sustainability in every dimension through four areas:
Community Contribution: Tops drives its business through supporting the grassroots economy in the country by directly purchasing farm produce, offering venues for farmers to sell their products at “Jing Jai Farmers’ Market”, and helping SMEs nationwide grow through Tops Tongtin platform to sell their products at Tops.
Circular economy and waste management: Tops recognizes the importance of waste and surplus food from end to end. There are projects such as “FOOD for GOOD DEED” to pass on surplus food products from Tops and FamilyMart to support the underprivileged nationwide. It also sorts waste at all its stores, and encourages the public to sort waste based on the 3R (Reduce Reuse Recycle) principle to reduce waste from end to end and to improve the environment alongside the economy and society.
Climate Strategy & Energy Management: Sustainable energy management: Tops has introduced a new store concept, “Tops Green”, which is the first green store in Thailand. It uses energy-efficient chillers with a cooling system that reduces carbon footprints and energy consumption while still maintaining product freshness. It supports the use of clean energy in transportation by providing EV charging points and installing solar panels to save energy.
Healthy & Safe Product: : Tops recognizes the importance of using eco-friendly packaging and has stopped the use of styrofoam and reduced the use of plastic. This award is a proud honor and reaffirms that Tops never stops improving its business to become a Food Discovery & Destination under the concept of Every Day DISCOVERY. Excellence in Data Governance
Mr. Yol Phokasub, Chief Executive Officer and Mr. David Llamas, Chief Digital Officer of Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited, represented Central Group in receiving the Excellence in Data Governance award from Mr. Benedict Benoit, APAC Head of Collibra known for its reputation as the Data Intelligence company to implement Data Privacy with its Data Governance platform on a wide scale.
This award serves to reflect Central Group’s and Central Retail’s excellence in managing customer data privacy. At the same time, this achievement also emphasises Central Group's position as a regional leader who operates in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). CRC selected into DJSI 2022
Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited or CRC selected into Dow Jones Sustainability Indices : DJSI 2022, which reflected its sustainable CRC objective and goals by being ranked in the Top 3 of Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) in the retail sector out of 476 participating companies around the world. Furthermore, the company was invited by S&P Global to participate in the evaluation of the DJSI, which is a stock index of world-class companies that are accepted by all institutional investors around the world who have passed business sustainability assessment based on economic, social and environmental performance. In 2022, there were a total of 3,519 companies participating in the DJSI assessment from 61 industry groups around the world that were invited to participate in this assessment.
Central Retail has been selected as a member of the DJSI from the Emerging Markets and was invited to participate in the first DJSI assessment in 2021 with our scores increasing two consecutive years. In the first year of participating in the assessment, the company was elected in Sustainability Yearbook Member for 2021, which has furthered the success of being on the path to become Thailand's first retail organization in the field of Green & Sustainable Retail under a balanced operation in 3 dimensions: the environment, society & good governance (ESG) and the CRC ReNEW strategy that aims for towards net-zero emissions by 2050. This can be done through cultivating corporate culture and creating a sustainable development mindset amongst employees at all levels, which can be inserted into every business process, such as the use of clean energy innovations, using environmentally friendly packaging, and implementing efficient solid waste management. HR Innovation Award 2022
CRC, represented by Chief People Officer Panchalee Weeratammawat, Wethisa Kanjanakaew Head of Resourcing & Talent Acquisition and Suwanna Panyawongudom Head of CRC Recruitment & Sourcing, received excellence award for HR Innovation Award 2022 from 4 institutions which are Personnel Management Association of Thailand (PMAT), Institute of HR Professional Development (IHPD), Thailand Productivity Institute (FTPI) and Human Resource Development Faculty from National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). ASEAN Asset Class PLCs
Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited (CRC) has received the ASEAN Asset Class PLCs Award from the 2021 ASEAN CG Scorecard Project as the listed company that obtained the score at least 97.50 points. CRC is one of 76 Thai listed companies winning this award among 234 companies in ASEAN countries e.g. Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
The project is sponsored by the ASEAN Capital Market Forum (ACMF) in collaboration with capital market regulators in ASEAN jurisdictions with the aim to elevate the quality of business supervision of the listed companies in ASEAN to meet international standards. This award has proven Central Retail's potential in excellent management and recognized Central Retail as a Listed Company with good governance.

This is one of the awards that shows Central Retail’s commitment on the disability employment. Central Retail has employed the disability 412 people as we intend to decrease inequality and leverage all employees’ skill.
