Central Retail Vietnam breaks ground on GO! Rach Gia Mall
On 27 October 2026, Central Retail Vietnam (CRV) held the groundbreaking ceremony for GO! Rach Gia Mall in Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province. The development will become the 47th mall in CRV’s nationwide network.

Spanning a total area of more than 16,000 m², GO! Rach Gia is being developed as a destination offering a wide range of amenities to meet customers’ diverse needs. Planned facilities include a GO! Hypermarket and ancillary areas for storage, customer service and food services, occupying more than 5,000 m². The hypermarket will offer more than 40,000 everyday products. The mall will also feature restaurants and dining outlets, entertainment facilities, convenience store chains and fashion brands.
Scheduled for completion and opening in late 2027, GO! Rach Gia is expected to become a destination for families and the local community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Nguyen Thanh Phong, Standing Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee, said: “Today marks the official start of construction of GO! Rach Gia Mall in Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province. This is an important milestone in the development of a modern retail project and reflects the Group’s continued commitment to supporting the province’s socio-economic development priorities.

“An Giang considers the development of modern, integrated trade and services, the expansion of distribution networks and more efficient circulation of goods to be key priorities. These will help the province realise its potential and build on its strengths, meet residents’ growing needs, expand markets and provide further impetus for economic growth. To this end, the province remains focused on improving its investment climate, accelerating administrative reform, proactively supporting businesses and creating favourable conditions for capable, experienced and reputable investors to develop projects aligned with provincial planning and development priorities.
“We highly value Central Retail’s standing, capabilities and experience in modern retail, developing distribution networks and bringing products to market. In particular, the Group’s efforts to promote agricultural produce and Vietnamese products through its distribution network open up tangible opportunities for business connections and cooperation, benefiting both established businesses and local enterprises and producers.”
Mr Olivier Langlet, Group CEO of Central Retail Vietnam, said: “Scheduled to open in late 2027, GO! Rach Gia Mall will meet residents’ diverse needs, from shopping at the GO! Hypermarket to dining and entertainment. We want GO! Rach Gia to become a familiar destination for families, offering convenient everyday shopping at affordable prices alongside more options to dine, enjoy leisure activities and relax together.

“An Giang also has strengths in agricultural produce, seafood, regional specialities and OCOP (One Commune One Product) products. This provides a strong foundation for us to expand cooperation with local businesses and bring the province’s quality products to more consumers. We look forward to working with businesses, cooperatives and farmers to introduce more local products at GO! Rach Gia and gradually expand their distribution through Central Retail’s nationwide retail network.
“These are the tangible contributions we seek to make through our ‘Better for Vietnam’ strategy: promoting Vietnamese products, taking the lead in food quality and developing sustainable retail. Through GO! Rach Gia, we expect to create more jobs, open up opportunities for business collaboration and contribute to local economic development.
“Following today’s groundbreaking, Central Retail will continue to work closely with Phu Cuong Group, the relevant authorities and contractors to keep the project on schedule, ensure construction quality and bring GO! Rach Gia into operation to serve the community as soon as possible.”
Previously, on 27 March 2026, Phu Cuong Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Central Retail Vietnam to develop GO! Rach Gia Mall. Once operational, the project is expected to support socio-economic development in An Giang and surrounding areas by creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs and opening up growth opportunities for local businesses through GO! Rach Gia and the nationwide GO! hypermarket network.
