Central Retail Receives Recognition for Outstanding Support of Persons with Disabilities for Five Consecutive Years

Central Retail, represented by the Chief People Officer Khun Panchalee Weeratammawat, is honored to receive the Excellence in Disability Support Award for the fifth consecutive year from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.

This prestigious recognition highlights Central Retail’s unwavering commitment to promoting equity, empowering individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive workforce. In 2024, Central Retail supported a total of 742 individuals with disabilities through various initiatives, including employing 462 individuals, across business units.

Beyond direct employment, Central Retail collaborated with various organizations to create additional opportunities for individuals with disabilities through diverse community-driven initiatives. These efforts reflect the company’s continued commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting individuals in reaching their potential.

Khun Panchalee emphasized, “At Central Retail, we believe in doing business with purpose. Promoting diversity and creating opportunities for persons with disabilities is part of our broader effort to build a more inclusive and equitable environment for everyone. This commitment aligns with our CRC Care philosophy, particularly in the dimensions of Care for the People and Care for the Community”.

Central Retail Recognized with Human Rights Awards for the 2nd Consecutive Year Recognized with the Outstanding Achievement of Human Rights Awards 2024 (Large Corporation Category)

On December 2, 2024, Central Retail proudly received the Outstanding Achievement of Human Rights Award 2024 (Large Corporation Category) for the second consecutive year. Khun Panchalee Weeratammawat, CRC Chief People Officer, represented the organization to receive the award from Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice, at a prestigious ceremony hosted by the Department of Rights and Liberties Protection under the Ministry of Justice. This recognition, with participation from over 200 organizations, highlights Central Retail’s dedication to promoting human rights, equity, and sustainability in Thailand.

This honor reflects Central Retail’s impactful efforts to address societal challenges through a variety of initiatives. For example, Central Retail has partnered with organizations to promote fair recruitment practices and provide career opportunities for vulnerable groups, including programs to support people with disabilities through skills training and job placement, such as the development of wheelchair repair workshops in Nakhon Ratchasima. Central Retail has empowered women through initiatives like International Women’s Day campaigns, highlighting gender equality in leadership. Additionally, the company has championed the LGBTQ+ community by organizing activities during Pride Month to celebrate diversity and inclusion.

Furthermore, Central Retail supports local artisans and SMEs by preserving traditional craftsmanship and creating sustainable income opportunities through partnerships with local communities. The CAP SWAP project is another standout initiative, upcycling plastic bottle caps into classroom furniture, including multipurpose roundtables and bookshelves, to benefit underprivileged schools, demonstrating CRC’s commitment to sustainability and social impact.

Receiving this award for the second year in a row is a significant milestone, reaffirming Central Retail’s leadership in human rights advocacy. These initiatives underscore the company’s dedication to fostering inclusivity, strengthening communities, and shaping a fairer, more equitable society rooted in dignity and opportunity.

โดยในปีนี้ เซ็นทรัล รีเทล ได้รับรางวัลระดับ Distinguished 2 รางวัล ได้แก่ รางวัลความเป็นเลิศด้านการจัดการทรัพยากรบุคคล และรางวัลความเป็นเลิศด้านการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน จากเวทีอันทรงเกียรติ “Thailand Corporate Excellence Awards 2024” ซึ่งจัดโดยสมาคมการจัดการธุรกิจแห่งประเทศไทย (TMA) ร่วมกับสถาบันบัณฑิตบริหารธุรกิจศศินทร์แห่งจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งดำเนินต่อเนื่องมาเป็นปีที่ 22 และได้รับพระมหากรุณาธิคุณจากสมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ พระราชทานรางวัลให้แก่องค์กรที่มีความเป็นเลิศทางด้านการบริหารจัดการในสาขาต่าง ๆ ทั้งสิ้น 9 สาขารางวัล โดยมี คุณปัญชลีย์ วีระธรรมวัชร์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารสายงานทรัพยากร เซ็นทรัล รีเทล เป็นตัวแทนขึ้นรับรางวัล จากนายจิรายุ อิศรางกูร ณ อยุธยา องคมนตรี

Khun Panchalee Weeratammawat, Chief People Officer, Central Retail Corporation (CRC), has played a pivotal role in bringing CRC to the global stage. Representing both CRC and the strength of female leadership from Thailand, Khun Panchalee is honored to be recognized as one of the Global 200 Women Power Leaders 2024 by White Page International.

Her "Transform, Inspire and Sustain" philosophy and the “One CRC, One HR” concept have unified HR functions across all business units and advanced collaboration in driving strategic HR directions for CRC. Under her guidance, the “GROWTH” framework has strengthened employee engagement, while the establishment of CRC Academy has contributed to significant workforce development. เซ็นทรัล รีเทล ส่งแคมเปญ “Hi! ใจ ส่งต่อความสุขไม่รู้จบ” คว้ารางวัลแคมเปญการตลาดแห่งปี (Marketing Campaign of the Year) หมวดค้าปลีก (Retail category) ในระดับ ‘Bronze’ จากเวทียกย่องความเป็นเลิศด้านธุรกิจระดับโลก International Business Awards® ครั้งที่ 21 โดยในปี 2024 มีโปรเจกต์กว่า 3,600 โปรเจกต์ จากบริษัทและองค์กรต่าง ๆ ใน 62 ประเทศเข้าร่วมแข่งขัน

คณะกรรมการได้เล็งเห็นถึงความสำเร็จของแคมเปญ “Hi! ใจ ส่งต่อความสุขไม่รู้จบ” ที่เซ็นทรัล รีเทล ให้ความสำคัญกับการช่วยเหลือสังคม โดยโฟกัสไปที่ผู้ป่วยเด็กโรคหัวใจ ซึ่งจากตัวเลขสถิติพบว่าทารกแรกเกิดในประเทศไทย 1,000 คน จะมีจำนวนทารกที่มีภาวะหัวใจพิการตั้งแต่กำเนิดประมาณ 8 คน และในปัจจุบันมีจำนวนผู้ป่วยเด็กโรคหัวใจมากกว่า 5,000 คนต่อปี เซ็นทรัล รีเทล จึงได้เดินหน้าตอกย้ำแนวคิด “Happiness Forward” เป็นปีที่ 4 ด้วยแคมเปญ “Hi! ใจ ส่งต่อความสุขไม่รู้จบ” เพื่อให้เด็ก ๆ ที่ขาดแคลนทุนทรัพย์เหล่านี้ ได้มีโอกาสเข้ารับการรักษาและกลับมามีชีวิตที่ดีขึ้น พร้อมเติบโตไปเป็นบุคลากรที่มีคุณค่าของประเทศ ผ่านการใช้กลยุทธ์ Equity Marketing ในการสร้างความเท่าเทียมและลดความเหลื่อมล้ำในสังคม โดยครั้งนี้ได้มีการนำกระแสความนิยมของอาร์ตทอย ที่กำลังเป็นที่ชื่นชอบอย่างมากในกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ และร่วมมือกับ ครูปาน สมนึก คลังนอก ศิลปินนักวาดภาพประกอบชื่อดัง มาออกแบบ “น้อง Hi! ใจ” คอลเลกชั่นพิเศษทั้งอาร์ตทอยและเสื้อยืด โดยรายได้หลังหักค่าใช้จ่าย จะนำไปมอบให้กับมูลนิธิเด็กโรคหัวใจในพระอุปถัมภ์ของสมเด็จพระเจ้าพี่นางเธอ เจ้าฟ้ากัลยาณิวัฒนา กรมหลวงนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์
