Central Retail is creating a sustainable living ecosystem through environmental initiatives across all business units in Thailand and Vietnam. From efficient energy use and responsible water management to eco-friendly materials, every space is designed to benefit both people and the planet.

1. Solar Panel Installation Project

Central Retail has installed over 171 solar rooftops—137 across Thailand, covering Central Department Store, Robinson Department Store, TOPS, GO WHOLESALE, Power Buy, Thaiwatsadu, Robinson Lifestyle, plus 34 more at GO! malls and go! in Vietnam.

2. LED and EV Charger Installation Project

Central Retail improves energy efficiency through LED lighting at Central Department Store, Robinson Department Store, and Supersports. 795 EV charging points are also being installed across Thailand and Vietnam.

3. Energy-Efficient Refrigeration Project

GO WHOLESALE and Central Food Retail, under Central Retail, deploys energy-efficient refrigerators using eco-friendly refrigerants—saving over 17,485 MWh of energy and 8,741 tons of CO2.

4. Central / Robinson Love the Earth Project

Central Department Store and Robinson Department Store, under Central Retail, continuously promote the use of eco-friendly materials across all branches nationwide. This forms a core mission of the Central / Robinson Love the Earth project.

5. Water Efficiency Project

Robinson Lifestyle, under Central Retail, reduces over 30,000 liters of water per branch monthly by installing auto faucets, optimizing pressure, and reusing filtered water for flushing and irrigation.

6. Smart Solar Streetlight Project

Robinson Lifestyle has installed solar-powered streetlights at 26 branches, cutting over 200 tCO2e —equal to planting 60,000 trees. It's also the first mall in Thailand to pilot ESS and explore clean energy innovation.

7. Energy Management System Project

Central Retail Vietnam deploys natural energy technology to reduce electricity use—saving over 22,685 MWh of electricity and cutting CO2 emissions by approximately 4,697 tonnes.
