Central Retail places strong importance on organizing environmentally conscious events and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which are a major cause of global warming. Central Retail is committed to responsible emission management by offsetting carbon through the purchase of carbon credits from voluntary greenhouse gas reduction projects under the Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER), with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality for its event-related activities.
In 2024, Central Retail implemented carbon offset initiatives for key events, including World Environment Day 2024, which aims to raise environmental awareness; Jingjai Mahakanakhon, which promotes eco-friendly lifestyles; and I-Care Game 2024, which strengthens employee relationships through sports while encouraging reduced environmental impact. These events collectively offset a total of 28.91 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.
This initiative not only reflects Central Retail’s commitment to minimizing environmental impact, but also reinforces its mission to support sustainable development and to create responsible, holistic activities. Central Retail remains dedicated to developing initiatives that generate positive environmental impact in the long term.
