Environmental Awareness Training Program
Central Retail places significant importance on cultivating a strong environmental consciousness among all employees and stakeholder groups. Central Retail recognizes that a proper understanding of environmental issues is a fundamental cornerstone for sustainable development. To support this objective, Central Retail has developed the "Basic Knowledge of Environment" training course. This program is designed to provide foundational knowledge about the environment, current environmental issues and challenges, and approaches to reducing environmental impacts, tailored to the roles and responsibilities of each participant group.
This course focuses on enabling participants to learn about and recognize pressing global environmental issues such as global warming, air and water pollution, and the unsustainable use of natural resources. It also covers practical actions that individuals can take to help mitigate these impacts appropriately. In 2024, Central Retail conducted this training course via the online CNEXT system, with over 12,888 employees and stakeholders from various business units and departments across Central Retail participating. In 2025, Central Retail expanded the training program to cover employees across all business units and departments through the CNEXT online platform. This resulted in a significant increase in participation, with more than 23,441 employees and stakeholders participating. This demonstrates the awareness and strong engagement of personnel within the organization.

Waste Management Training Program
Central Retail prioritizes efficient waste management by focusing on raising awareness and transforming the behaviors of employees and stakeholders across all business units. This covers the efficient use of resources, waste reduction, and proper waste segregation at the source which are the key mechanisms for reducing environmental impact and supporting sustainable business operations.
Furthermore, Central Retail emphasizes engagement through internal communications and various campaigns. These initiatives encourage employees and stakeholders to recognize their roles in waste reduction and to actively participate in driving the organization toward its environmental goals.
In 2024, over 400 participants joined the program including leaders and employees from all business units, joined the program. In 2025, Central Retail expanded the training program to an online format through the CNEXT system. This led to a significant rise in participation to over 21,850 employees and stakeholders from various business units. This substantial increase reflects a higher level of engagement and growing commitment among employees and stakeholders toward systematic waste management.


Responsible Sourcing Capacity Building Program
Central Retail is committed to implementing its Sustainable Procurement Policy and strengthening environmental data management across its supply chain by continuously enhancing the capabilities of employees involved in procurement and supply chain management. In 2025, Central Retail partnered with PwC Thailand to organize the "A Deep Dive into Purchased Goods & Services (Scope 3 Category 1)" workshop for more than 50 participants, including members of the Environment Committee, Supply Chain Committee, Procurement, and Merchandise teams. The program aimed to strengthen participants' knowledge, understanding, and capabilities in managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with purchased goods and services, one of Central Retail's most significant sources of emissions.
The training covered key topics including climate change, emerging sustainability regulations and international standards, greenhouse gas accounting principles under the GHG Protocol, as well as methodologies for collecting supplier data and calculating Scope 3 Category 1 emissions. The program also included hands-on workshop sessions, enabling participants to apply their knowledge in collecting supplier data and enabling participants to apply their knowledge in collecting supplier data and compiling environmental data in a systematic, accurate, and internationally aligned manner.
Through this initiative, Central Retail has strengthened the capabilities of its employees in driving responsible sourcing practices, enhanced the quality of environmental data across its supply chain, and reinforced its ability to manage climate-related risks. The program also supports Central Retail's preparedness for increasingly stringent sustainability-related regulations and disclosure requirements in both domestic and international markets.



Furthermore, Central Retail has plans to continuously expand the development of environmental training courses to enhance knowledge comprehensiveness. The courses currently under development include Climate Change, Resource Efficiency, and Responsible Sourcing. These courses will help equip employees with in-depth knowledge and understanding, enabling them to apply it in their work practices and conduct business responsibly towards society and the environment in a sustainable manner.
