“Central Department Store” Joins Forces with “AIS 5G” To launch “AR Shopping Experience,” Thailand’s First AR Personal Shopper
Central Department Store under Central Retail, Thailand’s leading retailer, commemorated its 75th anniversary with a major partnership with “AIS 5G,” Thailand’s No.1 5G network operator, to launch “Central AR Personal Shopper.” The new feature marks Thailand’s first-ever AR personal shopper. Available through the “AIS 5G PLAY AR” application, the augmented reality-powered personal shopper will support the customers on their shopping journey by introducing a wide range of items from Central’s Red and Exclusive Collection as well as special promotions. In addition, AIS customers can redeem only 75 AIS points for a 100 Baht Central gift card. The redemption can be made at 3 Central branches - CENTRAL @ centralwOrld, Central Chidlom, and Central Ladprao. The gift card can be used at all Central stores. The special promotion with AIS will run until 31 December 2022.

The AR Shopping Experience features Thailand’s first augmented reality personal shopper who will walk the customers through a new shopping journey. The virtual assistant will help introduce unique items from the Red and Exclusive Collection curated by leading brands to celebrate Central’s 75th Anniversary. To meet the personal assistant, customers must click “AIS 5G x Central 75th Anniversary” banner in the AIS 5G PLAY AR application and scan an item in the store. The AR Personal Shopper will then greet them and introduce the item on the screen.
The partnership also comes with a special privilege for AIS customers during the 75th Anniversary campaign.
