On 15 May 2026, in Van Xuan Ward, Thai Nguyen Province, Central Retail Vietnam held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for GO! Pho Yen, the 46th mall in Central Retail’s network across Vietnam.

GO! Pho Yen project covers a total area of more than 12.000 sqm and is designed as a multi-utility complex to meet all customer needs through a variety of planned services and facilities, including: a GO! hypermarket specialising in food, fast-moving consumer goods, and daily necessities with a retail area of 4,736 sqm, offering more than 40,000 products under the commitment of affordable prices for every family; a dining and restaurant area; entertainment and recreational facilities, convenience store chains, fashion brands, and etc.

According to the plan, GO! Pho Yen is expected to be completed and officially put into operation by Q3 2027, promising to be an ideal destination for all families and the local community.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Olivier Langlet, Group CEO of Central Retail Vietnam, said: “The groundbreaking of GO! Pho Yen today was a direct result of the strong and decisive support from the leaders of Thai Nguyen Province and relevant authorities. In particular, we deeply appreciate the close partnership of the provincial leadership and our partner, Yen Binh Urban Development Joint Stock Company, whose professionalism, strong coordination, and execution capabilities have played an important role in enabling the project to move forward at such an impressive pace. Moving from our first discussion to this groundbreaking ceremony in only nine months is a remarkable achievement, marking this as one of the fastest project implementations in the history of Central Retail in Vietnam.”

Speaking at the event, Mr. Duong Van Luong - Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, shared: “In recent years, Thai Nguyen has consistently identified the development of modern, civilised commerce and services as one of its key priorities in promoting economic growth, improving people’s quality of life, and gradually enhancing the province’s urban landscape.”

“Alongside industrial development, especially in the southern part of the province, demand for high-quality commercial and service infrastructure has continued to rise. Therefore, the implementation of the GO! Pho Yen Mall project is of great significance, not only in improving the province’s commercial and service infrastructure system but also in creating momentum for urban development, attracting investment, and improving services for residents, experts, and workers in industrial zones”, Mr. Duong Van Luong emphasised.

GO! Pho Yen is expected to contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen province and neighboring localities through the creation of numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities. In particular, local agricultural products, OCOP specialties, and products from enterprises and cooperatives within the province will have opportunities to be distributed through GO! Pho Yen hypermarket and expanded across nationalwide GO! network.
